Poems, Pics and Scribbles is a collaboration of like minded artists Olwen Williams (poetry), Lynne Roberts(Collage), and John Roberts(Photography).

A note from Olwen
      Working with Lynne and John gives me a great deal of pleasure.  The images which they produce never fail to stir my imagination, thoughts and feelings. 

      I have written various pieces for Lynne, and ‘Melvin’ is a particularly exuberant piece which perhaps is no surprise as the picture is so vibrant and full of life.  The colours, the characters, the joy and the humour, and even the sounds, are all encapsulated in the collage so it would have been difficult not to be swept up in all the excitement of the circus.

      For me, the fact that John’s photographs of rock formations are in black and white gives them an added strength which suits the subject and whenever I first see one, that strength is a very powerful guiding force in my writing; rock always seems synonymous with strength and stability yet there is vulnerability too and I believe that John’s photographs capture and express all of these elements.

      I always look forward to the next picture and the experience of the next piece of writing.
